Meetings

The Crewe and Harpur is a perfect destination for large parties as there is a very spacious bar/dining room and huge lounge that can be used for meetings and everyone can dine, socialise, work and party together. This is ideal accommodation for groups to meet comfortably and get together for business meetings or corporate events/parties. It is possible for 30+ people to dine together. You can either take over the entire property on an "Exclusive Use" basis or dependent on numbers select the appropriate accommodation for your needs.

For a nominal charge we offer equipment to support your meeting with Flip chart, paper, pens and easel and a projector screen available. Projectors can also be hired.

Team Building

At The Crewe & Harpur, we can organise team building events with a number of different activities on site, inside the buildings or in the grounds. For events/activities that require more space we use the surrounding area or nearby specialist centres. You can choose something active such as orienteering, canoeing, abseiling or quad biking - the list goes on. We have excellent contacts with local reputable companies who can provide bespoke social development programmes, corporate team building days or simply enjoying some leisure time with an activity day in The Peak District. For evenings popular events hosted in The Crewe have been "Confidence in Cocktails", Poker Nights, and Quiz Nights.

Accommodation

The accommodation has been refurbished to an exceptional standard mixing contemporary style with original buildings and features. Fabric and furnishings have been carefully coordinated throughout. The substaintial space and freedom of use lend itself to a truly unique corporate event. The properties can be let individually, as a whole or in any combination for different sized groups. All rooms are light, modern and clean.

Catering

At The Crewe & Harpur it is possible for large groups of people to dine together enjoying the freedom of the self catering option. The same group of us who own and run The Crewe also own the pub The Royal Oak  3 miles down the road. The Royal Oak pub offers great beers and fantastic food in a friendly setting with a large dining room to seat groups. We can also cater for your food requirements by offering home cooked food delivered to your door or organise a caterer to come to you. Breakfast, tea/coffee and Lunch buffets can be oragnised too. Being independently run we will try and cater for any requirement.

Testimonials

Everything at The Crewe and Harpur worked out really well, except the weather, although they did not let that ruin things. The accommodation was great and just suited what they were trying to do.  They did “come dine with me” and went for a 80’s theme on Tuesday night which was great fun and even had the music playing and some old adverts too. I think they struggled to get up on Wednesday for the paintballing but the fresh air did them good and a leisurely walk after that was just what they needed. Thank you for all your help. If we ever need anything similar again we will know where to come.

All communication was excellent, the pre-event management was superb. Venue was superb, Kelly was brilliant for the 2 days that we were there. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the activity. The two ladies running the event were superb.Organisation was excellent, timings for the event were good. Flexibility during an event is important and all the staff were happy to accomodate our needs. Not sure anything can be improved without increasing costs.
